What this site is
CrossplaySolver is a free set of tools for people who play Crossplay: a board solver, a word finder, a word checker and reference pages for the rules, letter values and two-letter words. Everything runs in your browser.
This site is independent. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by The New York Times Company. Crossplay is a trademark of its owner and is used here only to describe what these tools are for.
How the tools work
The solver tries every legal placement of your tiles on the board you enter and scores each one with Crossplay letter values, bonus squares and the sweep bonus. The rules data and their sources are listed on how to play Crossplay and Crossplay letter values.
About the word list. Crossplay checks words against the NASPA Word List 2023, a licensed list we cannot publish. This site uses the public-domain ENABLE word list plus the 107 two-letter words allowed in North American play. The two lists overlap heavily, but a few newer words may be missing here, and Crossplay may reject a few words this site accepts. The game itself always has the final say.
